su böreği

ın arefe day my grand mother and I decıded to make su böreği.especially my uncle insisted on it.he also wanted to bake on the wood fire.because in wood fire it becomes much more delicious.ın the mornıng we sat fire and started to make it.firstly we made thin sheet of doughs and we put each of them ınto the hot water then we pulled out them from hot water and put them into the tray.my brother also helped us.while pulling out them I like eating some part of the doughs when it is wet it is very tasty I think:)I was tired so much but on the last day of the bayram nothing left from the börek so I couldnt bring some of piece here :(

2008 oliympic games

In my opinion the most impressive events of year is 2008 olimpic games in Beijing. A total of 10,500 athletes competed in 302 events in 28 sports. Usain Bolt secured the traditional title “World’s Fastest Man” by setting new world records in the 100m and 200m dashes.

If I were a Times editor in the selection committee, I would choose EL ZEYDI as the most important and the most influential person of the year 2008.Now everyone around the world is talking about him. The 28-year-old journalist Muntazar El Zeydi has now become the hero of antiwar Bush rivals! Zeydi a correspondent for the independent El Bağdadi television station has now become a worldwide conversation piece after throwing his shoes at US President George Bush the night before last during a press conference with the Iraqi President.Throwing shoes is seen as a big insult in Arap culture.while throwing his shoes,he yelled “this is your goodbye present, dog.”Then he was arrested and nobody could get in touch with him so far. Thousands of citizens hit the streets holding slogans of support for the journalist.Moreover he has been declared a ‘hero.’ in Baghdad.

keskek

keşkek is a kind of traditional meal which is only made in bayrams.in my village there are 8 big ovens.the whole villager gather these place to put their's keskek in arefe day's evening.but in the morning you have to write your name on paper which is put by owners of oven to determıne the number of pans.because ovens have the capacity of 28 pans. on the morning of first bayram day after the man return from the prayer generally my grand mother goes the oven to bring the keskek and we all together eat it.generally I eat 2 plates.my grandfather eat 3 plates he hold the record:)you have to eat it while it is hot when it is cold it turns white and it's taste become very bad.

METU

I hadnt visited metu before registration day.because I always wanted to go Boğaziçi university and live in İstanbul.I know living in istanbul is very harsh but mystery of İstanbul always attracts me.Also even I thought to go Yeditepe university .I hadnt dreamed to go Ankara or metu but I am here it is my destiny On registration day I was shocked because metu is much bigger than my dream.Besides shock I got dissapointed because of the place of my department .Also my dormitory is away from the center .Sometimes I get angry myself why I came here especially while I am triying to reach my dormitory with my luggages.On the other hand sometimes I am proud of myself to be student in metu.Because metu is a city itself and it provides everything for students.You can do whatever sports you want ,There are a variety of free time activity .Even if you dont go out metu for a month,you dont need anything ,you can find whatever you want here .sometimes I feel the privilige of being a student in metu.I hadnt dreamt all of these ,I have experinced both disoppoinment and hapiness here .In spite of hardships I dont regret to be here

PYRAMIDS

I like mystery so mysterious places always take my attention .Egypt is one of them .I really want to go there .Because I want to see pyramids .Their mystery havent been solved yet .Moreover nobody has reached some rooms of pyramids yet , and most of the researches lost in them .
Because mummyies in them have a radioactif components ,12 people who found them were died .The mysterious of pyramids dont finish .If you put a dirty water in it ,it turns clean water .Furthermore if you put milk in it ,milk doesnt go off and in the end it turns into yoghurt .the garbages in the trash bins can turn into mumy without emiting any reek .who had the pyramid erected ,the sun shine enters his room twice a year .these mysteries are a bit of the whole .
Furthermore Giza pyramids are one of the seven wonders .Besides pyramids if I go there ,I want to visit Krallar vadisi and Karnak Tapınağı .I hope one day I will go there and experience the mystery on my own

It is known that microwave radiation can heat body tissue the same way it heats food. Exposure to high levels of microwaves can cause a painful burn. The lens of the eye is particularly sensitive to intense heat, and exposure to high levels of microwaves can cause cataracts. Likewise, the testes are very sensitive to changes in temperature. Accidental exposure to high levels of microwave energy can alter or kill sperm, producing temporary sterility. But these types of injuries - burns, cataracts, temporary sterility - can only be caused by exposure to large amounts of microwave radiation, much more than the 5mW limit for microwave oven leakage. microwaveoven emits the electromagnet wave whichwill not only do harm to people’s health but destroy the vitamincontent of the food as well. Most of us know these but we continue to use it.because everytime we are in a hurry we are looking for something which keeps up our pace.besıde microwave fast foods are also a good choice to save time.we can eat fast food to fill our stomach .thats true we only fill our stomach for they havent got any nutritional value besıdes their’s harm.while saving our times you see we lose so much things.we shouldnt give up our health while saving our times

NONSENSE STORY

ıt was a rainy day, I was trying to read book but my neighbour's
baby was crying so much that I couldn't concentrate on my book .Then I gave up and started play computer game ,on the one hand ,I was listening to musıc with my headphones.
then I remembered my homework.I tried to find my notebook in my bag.I couldn't find it then I looked for it in my wardrobe but while looking for it my trombone fell on my foot .I get angry and I threw it back.I couldn't remember what my homework is so I called my friend with my mobile phone but I couldn't reach her .I took a seat and thought what could I do ?then something black passed near my computer I couldn't understand what it is I wore my glasses to see it .I saw that it is a disgusting mouse immediately I took my coat and went out .The ground was wet .I lost my balance , slipped and faint.In my dream I saw UFO , it held a wand .it made magic and turned a flower into my notebook I tried to reach it but I didn't manage .when I opened my eyes .I was in a hospital my family and friends were near me.I told them my dream they laughed and one of my friend gave me her notebook.

THIS IS THE WORST DAY IN MY LIFE

One day last year I woke up with my siblings crying .My father ,my mother and I went out in a hurry .We saw that my grandfather had a heart attack in our car ,my grandmother was trying to leave him out from the car .Our neighbours came to help us .I run home to call ambluance but I couldnt remember our adress in a few second because of nervous then I managed to tell the situation .We started to wait ambulance .Meanwhile our neighbours was making first aid.My grandmother and my siblings were crying ,I tried to calm them ,but I was also very nervous in addition to it the ambluance was late ,I started cry and swear .Maybe this is the first time in my life to swear something .We had to take my grandfather to hospital with our car.Fortunately,my grandfaher was healed.That day I understand that being calm in an emergency is very difficult but important.While everybody was in a rush on that day,I should have been calm and I should have helped them but I couldnt manage it .Now maybe in such a situatıon ,I can stay calm because I get my lesson

A teacher can change his /her students life. I am an example of this.If my english teacher hadnt conviced me to select foreign language department, I would select science department ,now maybe I would be in a different univercity. I observe that most of the students select science department ,some of them because of their parents force .The others think that in there they have got much more job opportunıty.People think that being in a science department is a indicator of intelligent mind so they force their children to select it but they forget that everybody cant deal with science ,maths .I think they require skills.While selecting the department my mind was very confused.To make my mind I said myself ”if I had got 100 points from maths exam ,I would have gone to science department also if I had get 95 points from english exam, I would have selected foreign language department. I realized both of them I got 100 points from math and 96 points from english exam so I couldnt get rid of confusion .then I went to talk wıth my english teacher.She told me everything about foreign language department .she wanted me to evaluate myself objectively.She said me ”everybody go science department , but they dont think whether they will be successful or not .In the end they find themself in a univercity or faculty which they dont want: moreover, they have got jobS which they have to do without pleasure.Everybody suppose that foreign language department has got few job oppurtunity.but it isnt true ,you may study to be english teacher yet you can be interpreter,translater.You can also learn some other languages in addition to english.You can work in hotels or as a guide.Also I believe you ,you will be successful.”After I had listened all of things I decided to be a member of foreign language department and I am not regret having made this decision.After I select this department my teacher did her best to prepare us .Thanks for everything my english teacher:)

I recently read a story and I really love it so I want to share it with you.Fameos footballer is claimed for killing his wife.The footballer is catched but his wife's dead body couldnt be found.His lawyer is too preminant and succesful in his job.In the trial he say that ''I geninuely believe my client's innocence.Wyh?Look at me I count up to ten then his wife enter this door''.The whole jury turn their heads to look at the doors but nobody come in.The lawyer is very clever,usıng his brilliant mind tells the jury''you also dont believe her death all of you look the door.I want you to determine your decision according to this''.But jury find the footballer guilty.Porticelli couldnt understand why they give such decision .So ın the exıt of court he approachs one of the jury members and ask ''like everybody you look the door why do you determine your decision in this way? she reply him''you are right everybody look the door but except one person -your client-''

the eternal sunshine of spotless minds

Joel and Clamantine meet on beach.They are different from eachother.Joel is shy,introvert,reosanable on the other hand Clamentine is extrovert and moving according to her instincts .In the beginning they love each other,havent got any problem but then some problems arise.They cant bear eachother.So Clamentine is unhappy.She thinks that if she forget Joel maybe she is again happy.She goes to a doctor who can erase memory and has erased all memory about Joel.One day Joel comes with one present to make peace but she doesnt recognise him anylonger.Joel learn the truths and cant stand it .He goes to same doctor to forget her.They begin the erasing process while he is in sleep but during this process he meets some moments which he doesnt want to forget and lose so he wants to give up but nobody hear him.The process continue.He tries to hide her in his mind.They together begin to travel in Joels mind and try to not to lose eachother.This film really affect me.Sometimes we want to forget or get rid of our bad memory, but things what seem us bad,horrible,maybe have got some good aspects which we arent aware .

It is spring time .Nature wakes up and it exhibits its beauty.New life is beginning for everyone .You can see all colours in nature.They charm us.But green weighs itself.Trees look like bride.Flowers surround us ;moreover, their scent remove us from daily lifes problems.They relax us .Pure water makes addition this magnificence.

It is horrible day because that day lightnings drill the sky and come the earth.Light blind all of us .Everywhere cover with redness.Redness reminds us blood .Also you feel the bloods smell.As if we were in hell.Moreover,you can feel the hells horror.Nobody is out,as if trees and verdure trembled with fear.Thunder makes us deaf.

A BEAUTIFUL MIND

This week I want to mention about my favorite film ''A BEAUTIFUL MIND''.I watched it in highschool.It impress me so much.A Beautiful Mind is a 2001 American biographical film about John Forbes Nash, the Nobel Laureate in Economics. The film was directed by Ron Howard and written by Akiva Goldsman. It was inspired by a bestselling, Pulitzer Prize-nominated 1998 book of the same name by Sylvia Nasar. The film stars Russell Crowe, along with Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris and Paul Bettany.
The story begins in the early years of Nash's life at Princeton University as he develops his "original idea" that will revolutionize the world of mathematics. Early in the movie, Nash begins developing paranoid schizophrenia and endures delusional episodes while painfully watching the loss and burden his condition brings on his wife and friends.In the end of the film Nash doesnt get rid of his delusion but gets use to living with them.
The film opened in US cinemas on December 21, 2001. It was well-received by critics, grossed over $300 million worldwide, and went on to win four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actress. I recommend this film everyone I am sure you will enjoy it so much.

NANANA SELENA

I want to mention about influencing of the non fictions serious on children.For example "Selena,Prenses Perfunya,Nana".I select this subject because recently I face with an events .One day while we sat with my five-year-old cousin.I wanted her to bring me a glass of water.she said"I immediately brought it with my magic.I shocked.I tried to convince her that all of them are nonsense ,unreality.I dont know how much I have a success.I think,children shouldnt watch them.Parents should be careful what their children watch.
If enough precautions arent taken,it can lead much more harm.maybe,a child can be impressed with Selanas flying and thinks I can do that so he/she throw himself somewhere.

SAFRANBOLU

This week I want to mention about SAFRANBOLU.Safranbolu is Karabük province.It has got a very important historical value.Once a city of roman Province of "Paphlagonia", Safranbolu has hosted many civilizations including the Roman ,Byzantıne, Selcuk and Ottoman Empires throughout its history. During the Ottoman era the town served as an important junction on the Kastamonu - Gerede (Bolu)İstanbul route of the famous silk road. Safranbolu was at the same time a popular residence for Ottoman Royalty .When I return Karabük I immediately visit safranbolu.Because its beauty amaze me again and again however much I go there.Especially I like climbing "Hıdırlık hill" because you can see the whole Safranbolu from there.If one day you come here,you absolutely wont go without eating "SAFRANBOLU LOKUM"

TERRORISM

Recently,Turkey is in lament.Because 17 of our soldiers have been killed in southeastern Turkey in an attack by terrorists based in Northern Iraq.We know that this isnt first or last attack.We condemn them and also we protest these events.But these arent sufficent.We should do something immediately.For instance,education isnt adequate in the east of the Turkey .Most of the teachers dont want to go there.They are right .I cant blame them.Living conditions in there very harsh.I think,government should invest there urgently.In there most of the people are unemployed and illiterate.To find money they can do everything.They can be easily deceived by rebels.If living conditions and education rate are improved there,they have a conscious about what happens their environment.Moreever,they wont be easily cheated.Consequently,IF WE DONT WANT TO HAVE MARTYRS ANYMORE,WE SHOULD DO SOMETHING.

BLACK SPELL

I read a book called ''BLACK SPELL'' by MAXIME CHATTEM.It is a very thrilling book.If you are frightened of spiders,you shouldnt read ıt.In thıs book a lot of mysterious things happen.A murderer kılls only women.Two detectives inspect these events.In the end the detectives can solve them but...İf you want to learn more,you should read it.I am sure ,you will enjoy it.

AIR POLLUTION

Air pollution is a globel problem.Because it is located in the athmosphere.It can travel easily.So it has been the subject of global cooparation and conflict.Furthermore ,it doesnt damage only people .It also damage plants and animals.We dont have a right to kill animals and plants .We have to care about them.When we pollute air ,we damage everybody and everything over the world.Consequently we have to be careful about our environment.

BRAIN DRAIN

Brain drain is an important issue for governments nowadays.Several qualified people go to another country and don't return. If the governments want to prevent brain drain. Firstly, they should provide enough capital for researchs.Secondly, they should support innovation. Thirdly, even if the clever brains go to another country ,the governments should do their best to return them. When they return , I think ,they will do their best to develop their country.
